BS (Psychology)
APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT
Applied Psychology department was established in 1997. Since its inception, our faculty members have continued to work tirelessly in order to produce the best graduates who are at the forefront of generating, communicating, and applying psychological science. These student-faculty collaborations have enabled to create a learning environment built on the values of excellence, hard work and dedication.
CREDITS
- Applied psychology department established the first counseling center for students and teachers at college. Counseling center provide services for all emotional, psychological, and adjustment issues, career counseling, time management, educational counseling, conflict resolution etc.
- Our students have participated and have presented their research findings in national and international conferences.
MISSION
Our mission is to develop love for learning, unlock the intellectual and personal potential of each student and act as a Launchpad for advanced studies. We are committed in our aim to provide all students with a deeper understanding of Applied Psychology in an inspiring, practical and collaborative environment. Our aim is to help and enable students in successful pursuit of their careers in psychology and related disciplines.
GRADUATES AND POST-GRADUATES
Applied psychology department has produced thousands of graduates and post graduates over the period of two decades. Our Graduates and Post-Graduates are placed on reputable positions in different universities, colleges, correction centers, hospitals, clinics, research centers as teachers, psychologists, counselors, researchers etc.
DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES
- Department has arranged numerous seminars, workshops and lectures by qualified professionals. Through guest speaker sessions we provide our students a view of the real world problems and how the academics will help them to address.
- Poster and model competitions are conducted to help students practically display the theoretical topics they have studied.
- Teachers and students participate actively in fund raising stalls for noble cause every year. This helps in raising awareness and funds a specific cause (orphans, older adults in old homes, cancer patients, dengue virus, corona and families having financial difficulties due to the pandemic, etc.).
FACILITIES
- Experimental laboratory fully equipped with latest instruments for practical work, is present for students.
- Assessment laboratory with latest standardized tests and inventories is operational for students.
- There is a separate library with more than ___ books for Applied Psychology Students.
BS (4 YEAR) PROGRAM
STRUCTURE
This is a four year, full time program. Each year is structured in two semesters. Duration of each semester is 5-6 months and each semester is consisting on 6 courses (theoretical course work + practical course work).
ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Minimum entry requirement for BS (4 Years) is intermediate with at least 60% marks.
