Interestingly, Pakistan is a gallery of many images of Islam-----moderate Islam, progressive Islam, enlightened Islam, conservative Islam or orthodox Islam. Advocates of each religious nomenclature are keeping their own flag high as an absolute truth. But the reality is that Islam is above all the sectarian stickers and substance ascribed to it. Now the question arises where is the “healing balm” for soaring wounds of social injustices and moral ills in the contemporary world. This calls for an urgent need to present the real face of Islam. Islam should be better presented as meaningful, relevant and consistent with the contemporary dynamic world. This is the only way to connect people back to Islam and keep them consistent with Quran and Sunnah in theory and practice. This is the ultimate aim of this Islamic Conference.

Women conference will convene scholars, activists, religious and political leaders, scientists artists, educators, and conflict-resolution experts who will offer their thoughts on Islamic contemporary perspectives.  The program has been designed to reflect several goals:

  • To have an understanding, analysis and critique of contemporary religious, intellectual, and philosophic developments as well as of sociopolitical changes in Islamic societies.
  • To provide a forum for scholarly dialogue and communication of interdisciplinary range.
  • To tackle the contemporary issues faced in our daily lives as Muslims as well as coming to terms with the challenges faced by the Ummah all over the globe.
  • To remove misunderstandings about Islam through collective efforts to show its real picture.
  • To present the true image of Islam to the world and confront attempts and campaigns that link Islam with violence.
